You can not continue the interview unless you pass that written. Once you pass the exam they give you lunch and a presentation of the company, I fell more in love with the company as they kept explaining the flow into American, since Piedmont is a smaller regional their flow is only 4 years into American. Then they showed us around the training center and after that the individual interviews began. Consisted of two pilots and one person from HR. Then they ask you about the following: You must brief a... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

Feb 28, 2024 I'm 20 years out of the cockpit. Yes, 20. I'm a former Navy ( 9 yrs) and UAL (4 yrs) pilot. Furloughed in 2003 and elected to pass on the recalls. In hindsight - wrong move. I looked at returning about 10 years ago, but there was no need for pilots at United so I resigned myself to flying a desk (hating it). Over the past few years I've heard so much of the pilot shortage and the cadet programs. I looked again into a return to United. They recommended I stop by the regionals first.... Feb 27, 2024 Everything went very smoothly for transportation to hotel to interview. The interview began with a 20 minute presentation then they took each candidate one at a time back to be interviewed. The times ranged from a to 1.5 hours. They seem to take people back in the order of the departing flights. Those with earlier flights went first. Then they escort you out and ask you not to talk to the candidates that have not gone yet. Overall they were very friendly and seems like the company is... Continue reading this interview experience

Feb 27, 2024 Follow the gouge and questions on this site and you will be all set! The interview was laid back and conversational. I hadn't been flying with Jeppeson charts so I bought the Jeppeson subscription to review the charts prior to my interview. No surprises at... Continue reading this interview experience

Feb 21, 2024 Interview was very pleasant and laid back. I had an enjoyable experience. They fly you into a respectable hotel the night before. There’s a nice sit down restaurant that will provide breakfast and dinner. Piedmont definitely embraces a small company feel. There was only me, and one other guy interviewing. We were scheduled to start at 9am, but the two HR reps decided to start early since the other guy and I were ready by 8:25. The interview was conducted by two HR reps. No pilots. The... Feb 14, 2024 All the gouges on here are spot on. Make sure you know METARs very in depth. I briefed the ILS16 into BGM, (view the study guide of this website). Like everyone else says they’re very nice and do a great job of keeping the whole process very relaxed and a pleasant experience overall. Good... Continue reading this interview experience

Feb 07, 2024 The interview could not have been any better. Not that it was easy, but it was extremely fair, very well organized, and I felt like they wanted me to be there and see me succeed. The questions they asked were exactly what everyone else says. Definitely know the Jepp plates (approach and airport). We did not go over SID/STAR but it is fair game in the interview. Know those METAR/TAFs like the back of your hand!! Study the codes/symbols a lot. Quiz yourself. There will still be one or two... Continue reading this interview experience

Feb 06, 2024 Applied in late spring of last year but they had just pivoted to hiring DEC and high time FOs so I just kept in touch every few months to see where things stood for low time candidates. When they started interviewing that pool of candidates at the end of the year, I got a call. Phone screen went well and the subsequent interview was a great experience. Friendly HR and PDT CA who went through my experiences and talked through exactly what the recruiter told me would be covered. If you're... Continue reading this interview experience

Feb 05, 2024 Company Presentation Followed by questions about my flying experience. TMAT when you had an emergency. Read a METAR aloud. Brief a visual approach, Jeppesen Symbology and questions. Landing distance available beyond glide slope on Jepp chart. Light gun signal for clear to land, (view the study guide of this... Continue reading this interview experience

Jan 31, 2024 Interview was very pleasant and straightforward. Follow the other gouges on here. Personally I picked the longest and most detailed gouge from December and it worked perfectly. In summary it's a short review of your training history, discussing any check ride disapprovals (I had 2). Then discussing basic weather theory, storms, fronts, icing, microbursts and a few other simple things. A fairly challenging Metar, make sure to study all the codes for various precipitation and intensities and... Continue reading this interview experience

Jan 08, 2024 Interview was online. Short group presentation about the company, it's history, pay & benefits, etc. first, followed by the individual interview slots. Interview was 1 HR person and 1 pilot, both were extremely kind and friendly. Started with standard HR questions, "Tell us about your background", "Why Piedmont", etc. I gave them my 5 minute background talk and said that we all know the pay and benefits between the airlines are extremely close to each other, so what...
