Flexjet Pilot Interview:

I submitted a resume before 911 and got a call in the end of Jan.
Did a phone interview with Karen Parr (HR) and was asked a few basic questions basically seeing if I was interested. She made arrangements to fly me out to DFW. Flew in Sunday for a 8:00 am Monday interview. They put me up at the Baymont DFW Sunday night. The interview was pretty laid back. Dave Porter (C.P. of Lear 60 fleet)and Karen Parr(HR) brief you on the company and then break the interviewee's down (there were 3 total). 2 went into the Sim and the other takes a 30 question multiple choice test. The test are ATP questions right out of the Gleim. Study the following chapters of the ATP Gleim: Part 91 Fars, Part 135 Fars, Airspace and Airports, Air Traffic Control, Aviation WX, Wind Shear. There were also about 3-4 questions on reading a Metar including converting zulu to east coast time (1756Z-1256ET), A VV question & reading the special at the end of one Metar. The interview was next. Dave & Karen go over your resume and just try to get to know you. There was a couple of role playing questions i.e. what would you do if.... about 30 minutes & very laid back.
The sim was next for me. A Lear 45 (glass). Since I was the odd man out I flew w/ the sim instructor. Take off runway hdg to 2000' (get the power back asap/ it climbs like a bat out of hell) and then a turn to hold at the Maverick VOR. After the hold, vectors for the ILS 13L DAL. After landing you reposition and do a V1 cut to 1500' (believe it or not!) I had'nt flown since 911 and I did'nt crash it so don't sweat it. Thats it. Good luck.
