2. (Sep 10, 2025) All online. Was notified and immediately scheduled interview a few days prior to interview. Meeting consisted of HR, pilot who gives technical questions, recruiter, and observation pilot. HR was easy. Consisted a lot of "tell me about a time," questions that heavily reflected off of CRM skills. They really want to hear who you have connections with within the company, especially Aviate. (view the study guide of this website). Technical is like a mini ATP exam. If you study other study... Continue reading this interview experience..

- rudder cable snapped in flight was able to declare and emergency and land the airplane safely by landing on a runway with a cross wind on the side that the rudder was not needed for maintaining centerline.

- 3x28= 84 miles
- 6. What is V1?
- Go/No Go speed. Where an aborted takeoff needs to initiated prior to this speed to be able to stop on the runway.
- 7. (Nov 05, 2025) Read this METAR You are the Captain, the weather is at minimums, brief this ILS approach Points to a position outside the G/S intercept [FAF on a LOC only] asks what would i do if the RVR is reported 1600' at TDZ Then points inside G/S intercept and asks same question.
- What they are asking is if you can continue the approach if weather falls below minimums before the final approach Fix (which you cannot). If you are inside the FAF and weather falls below minimums, you may continue the approach.
- 8. (Dec 19, 2025) Tell me about a time when you had a difficult situation in flight.
- 9. Have you had accidents or failed checkrides?
- If you had, again, make sure to speak up and DON'T LIE, they already know the answer for this question, as they can see in reports (like PRIA report)
- I needed retraining on my instrument, private multi-engine add on, and CFI. All these experiences have helped me improve as a pilot to become the CFI I am today.
- I let them know that I failed my Private 10 years ago. They just wanted to know why more than anything and how it affected my training since. I haven't had any failures (knock on wood), which made it look better. Do not lie. They will see it on your PRD.
- 10. Tell us about yourself.
- Bring positive aspects about yourself and most important, why someone would be comfortable flying with you for several days in a row.
- I am a focused and professional individual who is friendly, helpful, and easy to work with.

Situational In-Flight Problem. You are the Capt. You've just departed LCH bound for IAH. You lose an engine right at T/O. Wx is 200-1/2 in LCH. No T/O alternate was provided or offered by the Interview person. The Wx in IAH is VFR. Its scheduled for a 20 Min flight to IAH. DO you turn back or continue to IAH? My answer: There are several factors to consider here. As you depart the Area and at the appropriate altitude, Run your EPC (Emerg Proc Checks, Memory Items, then ask for the complete checklist). You have many considerations. It will take you 15+ mins to complete all the required items. FLY THE AIRPLANE...Continue reading simulator / scenario information..
