2. (Oct 14, 2025) The entire interview process was extremely laid-back and friendly. There were about 20 applicants in the morning group, and we all stayed in one main room while interviewers came to get us for three separate interviews: A panel interview with one HR representative and one pilot A logbook review with a pilot A one-on-one scenario interview with a pilot Nothing in the process had changed from the prep material on the site â?? all the questions came directly from the question bank. - 1. (Nov 08, 2025) What would be the toughest part about the transition to SWA?
- Learning curve of going from mil to civilian flight ops.
- Getting out of my normal routine, and learning the new way to fly the same aircraft.
- 2. (Oct 02, 2025) What will you do as a First Officer to be of value to our customers?
- I will provide customer service but continuously looking to expand my knowledge base as a pilot to ensure I am operating as safely as possible.
- 3. (Nov 10, 2025) Tell me about the last 10 years of your flying career.
- I simply walked through my resume, highlighting the big achievements I wanted them to know about, and adding a few other qualifications and achievements that weren’t on my resume.
- 4. (Nov 12, 2025) Do you have any accidents, incidents, or violations?
- No. But if you do just say what happened and what you learned
- Yes, minor that wouldn't be considered in 121, however did meet threshold for Navy safety investigation and talked through that and why. ex. bird strike damaged fan blades. unavoidable but still a safety investigation for tracking.

- Pushed a wheelchair passenger and took her to her connecting gate during a quick turn
- 6. (Oct 31, 2025) Tell me about a time you went above and beyond?
- I told them a story about how I had a kid in my cockpit and how excited they were to see everything. I let them sit in the FO seat and answered all their questions. Kid gave me a big hug on the way out.
- While flying in the Navy, had a request to conduct flyover for American Legion little league game near my hometown in a T-6. Took student on a cross-country training flight to support.

- 7. (Sep 26, 2025) Tell us about yourself and talk through resume.
- They had me start out with my background from college to my current job, which I kept pretty concise but I tried to point out some of the skills I've developed such as crew coordination, leadership, and instruction.
- I was all military (Navy), but talked through each tour and what kind of flying at each. If a non-flying tour I still mentioned what I did and how that prepared me to work at SW.

- 10. (Oct 25, 2025) Tell me about a challenging flight.
- I was paired with my pilot supervisor for a tour and we picked up a customer known for, being late, rushing crews, and getting upset easily. We were traveling internationally and her husband brought a new passport that didn't match what we had on file. In addition we had gate hold, and the passenger had reservations at her destination. With all the delays it added up to 2 hours. Which turned into her shouting and cursing at us directly. It was nice to hear at the end of the flight from my supervisor that I handled it well.
