Everything mentioned in the prior experience reports have been spot on. Arrived at HQ, got checked in and chatted with random pilots in passing. Everyone was extremely kind, really. We got started right on time, dropped off our logbooks, walked past the DC3 where the interviews conducted, through the museum and into the movie theater. The video is epic. If you weren't sure about wanting to work at American before, you will be after. Then came the interview. Two interviewers come and take you to a table, they provide you with a pen and piece of paper with aids to help...

The experience matched this website spot on and every question asked was in some form on this site as others have said. HR online interview two weeks before in person interview. Very relaxed and was asked TMAY, why AA, and one TMAAT and two WWYD questions, (view the study guide of this website). In person interview day, TMAY, 3 TMAAT, 3 WWYD questions. Everyone was friendly and it was a great experience overall. 14 applicants interviewed and 10 were offered CJO's on the spot,... -

Looks like a standard major airline interview. A little better than JB. Worse than SW. As described here, a remote HR interview 2 weeks prior to the onsite interview. Positive space tickets to and from the interview and the hotel are paid by AA. A little wait for the shuttle to the interview place, then a little wait there until somebody comes and guides you where to go next. They ask to bring additional recommendation letters to the interview but at the interview actually say they don't... -

Meet in the lobby and the turn in your logbooks. Get a tour of the place and the museum. Watch a video about AA. Walk out to the DC-3 and then you meet with your interviewers. Super laid back and itâ??s really just listening to your thought process during scenarios. I asked them questions about their experiences and their hobbies and the quality of life at AA. Taken back to a lobby and then people are taken out one or two at a time that donâ??t get the CJO that... -

Got a call 10 days prior to RTAG, for which I had a confirmed M&G, that they would like to turn my M&G into an interview and to expect an HR interview in the next few days. I completed the HR interview the Monday prior to RTAG, very low threat. TMAY, Why AA, tell me what accountability looks like, Youâ??re on final and ATC tells you to go around due to aircraft on the runwayâ?¦what are you thinking, and then general conversation following this. On the day of RTAG, I had an early... -

HR Interview: Started with FTN#, Original logbook (yes/no), Accidents/incidents (yes/no), Failed check rides (stage checks, etc yes/no/details), Availability, and then questions. You have a lot of options, why American? What would you do outside work if you werenâ??t in aviation? Tell me about a customer experience outside the flight deck, what motivated you, what was the impact? How do you foster communication in the flight deck? Plane on the runway, ATC tells you to go around, what do you... -

Once settled at AA's campus, we had our documents checked and relinquished our logbooks. A twenty-minute inspirational video was next in the museum theater, followed by a twenty minute or so informal Q & A with a very senior AA captain who sometimes interviews. A bit of waiting around is next, but then the interview group comes out to find their candidate and we were led to our respective table around the DC-3. I was interviewed by a senior female captain and senior male first officer.... -

I originally submitted my AA application in the Fall of last year. I attended the RTAG conference and was lucky enough to get a meet-n-greet with AA scheduled a few weeks before the event. I was uncurrent at this time, but the rep advised that I keep the app refreshed, and to get current. I updated my app in the middle of Summer with several new LORs, a current resume, a new type rating, and about 250 hours of Part 135 SIC time. Received the â??fix itâ?? call. Advised to update medical... -

Interview was one of the best experiences I've been lucky enough to be a part of. You head to the training center, drop off your logbooks, talk with some people, go watch a movie in the theater (which was the coolest theater ever), talk some more, wait some more, interview for about an hour, wait some more, and then find out if you got the CJO or not. The whole process is so welcoming from start to finish. It makes you almost wonder why anyone would want to work for any other airline,... -

The interview is similar to as described on here. The recruiters do a good job of making you feel relaxed on the day but this is by no means an easy interview. The standard WWYD scenario questions listed on here but be prepared to have a long, educated conversation with the recruiters regarding highlights of your career and how you made a difference. Overall just over an hour of one-on-one time with the two AA pilots to really sell yourself. My one piece of advise is to not memorize answers...
