Was kind of surprised when I was let into the teams meeting and there were 6 people from CommuteAir on the call but they weren't intimidating in the least. They were very welcoming and the HR recruiter even was texting me before and telling me how she gets nervous before interviews and to do my best. One of the people on the call was the Chief Pilot at CommuteAir so don't be shocked if it happens to you but he was also super nice and not intimidating. Started with asking me what I knew about CommuteAir, then asked me what I do in my preflight process that helps me have a safe flight. Then it led into a...

Interview was conducted by a HR representative and a pilot. There were multiple people from HR on the teams call, but most had their cameras off. Started with TMAAT questions(my experiences as a CFI, basic get to know you questions). Then there was a 10 minute HR presentation(they will still ask questions during the presentation, know the Core 4). The technical portion was then led by the pilot. Started with some multi engine questions, high altitude questions, and then I was asked to decode... -

My interview experience was much like what others have said. There were two HR people and one pilot on the video call, along with a couple other individuals who didn't have their cameras on or say much. HR portion was pretty straight forward (how did you get into aviation, tell me about a time, etc). For the technical portion I was asked to explain the gear system on my current aircraft, explain Vmc, decode a METAR, asked some basic questions about high altitude aerodynamics and swept wings,... -

Got a call and had the phone screening while on the phone. Asked for checkride failures, why Commuteair, standard hr questions. Then scheduled my interview a few days later. Interview was very straight forward. 2 HR, 1 Pilot, with a few others with their cameras off and mics muted. They made you feel very relaxed, I could tell immediately this is a great company. Started off with standard TMAAT questions, review the study guide here to best prepare. Then the technical. Asked about high... -

Interview on MS Teams was about an hour total with an HR rep, an FO and a few other people on the call with their cameras and mics off. Starts off with about a 10 minute HR presentation over the company (pay attention as they asked questions about this PowerPoint later on during the HR portion, such as how much of the company is owned by United), followed by standard TMAAT questions. HR lady was super nice and comforting. Technical portion is straight forward as other guides on this site... -

Interview was very similar to others. Discussed a handful of standard "tell me about a time" type questions, and answered a few follow-up questions. I was ready to describe flight experienced I had in each of the aircraft types I had. We talked about a few of the different types of aircraft I'd flown, and some of the experiences I've had as a flight instructor. We then took a brief intermission from the interview to talk about CommuteAir as a company and the first officer position. For the... -

Very basic interview, asked TMAAT and tell me about yourself questions. There were 6 people on the call, only the person from HR and the FO spoke. Chief Pilot barely said anything. Technical portion was basic symbology on a Jepp airport diagram, arrival, departure, approach plate, and en-route chart. Described a system on the airplane I fly now. Whole interview was about an... -

All online. Was notified and immediately scheduled interview a few days prior to interview. Meeting consisted of HR, pilot who gives technical questions, recruiter, and observation pilot. HR was easy. Consisted a lot of "tell me about a time," questions that heavily reflected off of CRM skills. They really want to hear who you have connections with within the company, especially Aviate. (view the study guide of this website). Technical is like a mini ATP exam. If you study other study... -

Follow the questions on this guide. TMAAT and technical gouges were spot on. Only one technical question that wasn't on this gouge. The technical included a simulated flight using Jepp Charts and briefing charts. Emphasize safety and crew communication in everything you do (i.e. "do you have any questions" after briefing a plate, or verifying the Chart number and dates before beginning the brief). Multi engine aerodynamics and big emphasis on IFR procedures. Unpublished hold entry.... -

Spoke with the CommuteAir team at a pilot conference after having my App completed for about 2 months. After the conference called and left a voicemail with the persons contact information I was given. Within 2 hours of leaving the voicemail I was called by a recruiter and completed a 15 minute phone screen and asked my availability for an interview. The interview was over teams with the recruiter director of training chief pilot and a FO that had been with the company around 2 years. the...
