Interview started at 0830 in Salt Lake. Myself and three other applicants. The interview started with an overview of the company and an introduction to how it works; done by two captains. I was selected first to do the HR portion with one of the captains. Because I had gone to a Cadet experience the day before they brought me out of the overview of the company prior to it ending to do the HR portion. It was very relaxed. The captain had to do some errands so we walked and talked for part of it. The questions were about disagreements with previous bosses, what would be the hardest thing about joining Skywest, what aircraft would I prefer, etc... see that portion of the gauge for more info. He also... Continue Reading this Interview Experience

  1. Apr 12, 2024 Started out with introducing each other, next was the HR portion.  All logbook times, 30 day, 60 day, 90 day, and 12 month flight time, any failures etc.  CRM scenarios. HR and introduction took about 30 min.  Next was the technical portion.  High altitude aerodynamics, jet systems, holding speeds, current plane systems, airspeed restrictions, briefing an approach and questions on approach and approach chart, symbols on airport diagram.  Technical portion took about... 4. Apr 09, 2024 My interviewer was a 63 year old FO that had been with Skywest for 9 years. The interview started off super casual with some small talk about hobbies that the interviewer had. He asked me about my hobbies. It made me feel super comfortable with him and relaxed any nerves. We then got into the how did you get into aviation and why SkyWest. He didn't really care about in depth reasoning on Why SkyWest and seemed like he wanted to move the interview along. All of this took about thirty minutes... 5. Apr 09, 2024 The interview went pretty smoothly. Started off with introductions. We both had a pre-planned 5 minute intro. After this she asked for my basic times: 30,60,90, etcetera. She asked me a series of HR questions to check some boxes like “what platform do you want?” or “do you have any undisclosed failures.” After that we moved on to the technical interview. If you use this website to study you will be more than prepared. Make sure you know systems, how to brief a Jepp... Continue reading this interview experience

  6. Apr 08, 2024 This website is the ticket for success for the interview. A few places I got hung up or as follows…. 1. On the remarks section of a metar they sometimes list precipitation accumulation as P00001. In the Metar I had there was also freezing rain which included an ice accumulation. It looks like. i0000001. I had never seen that before. 2. We talked about hung start and hot start. The interviewer gave a scenario in which we had a hot start and asked what I was doing next. I started doing... Continue reading this interview experience

  7. Apr 08, 2024 Very similar to what others have listed all questions pretty much from the gouge. My interview was very short less than 1.5 hours with a sub 1 year FO and a senior CA observing. 9. Apr 04, 2024 Was my 2nd time interviewing after waiting 6+ months after initial interview. Went on for about 2-2.5hours, was very similar to first time and all questions pretty much from the gouge. There are some new questions in the gouge for turbine engines, make sure you know those - working of different sections of turbine engine etc, talked about turbine engine for a solid 15-20mins and aircraft systems which were mostly applicable to turbine systems - hydraulic, pneumatic, pressurization etc. Know...
