The interview was exactly what you'd expect based on other experiences on here. Started off with just some small talk before the interviewer introduced himself and talked about his history and how he ended up doing interviews. The interviewer was a retired captain from Skywest. I introduced myself, then we got rolling with verifying paperwork. I needed to resubmit some things, like my CFI, since it expired between now and the original application date in January. We talked about my logbook, total time, PIC, multi-engine, night, instrument while in the actual airplane, 30/60/90 day, and 12-month flight times. Actual order after this was different, I'm just jotting down things I remember going over. Coffin corner, mach tuck, swept wing advantages and disadvantages, where does a swept wing stall at, how do we maintain roll...

The overall interview was a pretty relaxed experience. We started with introductions and he gave me some of his background and vice versa. We chatted about a few random things such as his sea plane rating for around 20 or so minutes. After that we hopped right into the technical portion and questions, (view the study guide of this website including the Sim/Scenario section). We then moved onto the aircraft I fly, a Piper Cherokee, and he had me give him a detailed explanation of the... -

Very laid back interview. Interviewer was very kind! Topics covered were all on the website. Fairly surface level questions. Nothing too in the weeds. Started with logbooks times, HR, regs, how a jet engine worked (I said each stage then we just moved on), high alt aerodynamics, systems (emphasis on hydraulics), looked at a STAR, looked at an instrument appch plate, airport page, wx (microburst and hazards of a TS), electrical system on "a plane of my choosing". Ended with CRM scenario where... -

It was an online interview, I received the documents the night prior that included two instrument approaches and a release with weather. We started a little early day of, I interviewed with a CA who was extremely friendly and we talked about the company, I shared how I got into aviation and why I wanted to work for SkyWest. We jumped into technical pretty quickly, covering jet engine basics, swept wing aerodynamics (pros/cons), he asked about the electrical system in the aircraft I fly and I... -

Interview as described by the others. Shuttle left at 6:20am from the hotel. 6 out of 7 interviewees received offers. All of us were placed in a room where logbooks and certificates etc were collected by HR. Then escorted upstairs for an HR presentation which lasted to approximately 8:30am. Interview itself was with one HR rep and a pilot recruiter and was very straight forward. HR questions (view the study guide of this website). Technical portion was very straightforward and... -

I had a young FO as my interviewer. The whole interview was based off a flight to KORD. Started off with HR questions then went to weather reading a METAR/TAF, alternate and what to look for in choosing one. Documents plane and pilot need. Then went into airport signs and markings, then engine and systems and aerodynamics. After that SID/STAR/Taxi diagram, brief approach. Know Jepp charts well. Lastly was CRM scenario and then any... -

Interviewed with a ERJ FO based out of SAN. Interview was quite straight forward, lasted about 50 minutes, starting with the recruiter telling me briefly about himself and then I told him about myself. Went through my flight times (ATP requirements, 30/60/90/365) and then started the HR portion. He asked me why I wanted to work for SKW, what guiding principles I knew (said he only needed one of them, health and safety first is the easiest to remember in my opinion), and what history I knew... -

The interview was conducted in a very relaxed environment from an experienced first officer who was very kind. We started with introductions and flying hours and certificates. Then we jumped directly to the interview scenario which few questions were on the CRM based scenario and few technical questions and Jeppesen charts questions on Sid and airport and taxi way charts further he shared his screen and told me to decode the METARS TAF. Later he asked what aircraft do you prefer IĆ¢??ve said... -

The process was as outlined on the website. We started out by the interviewer stating this was a conversation between two pilots, which helped me relax a little. Reviewed hours (TT, XC, PIC, Instrument, 30/60/90/12 months). Reviewed high altitude aerodynamics (swept back wing, critical Mach, Mach tuck, coffin corner). Read a METAR and TAF strip. Discussed Part 91 alternate requirements. (view the study guide of this website). Do some research on the company I said (5k+ employees, 50+... -

The interview was conducted by a really pleasant FO. Started off with the standard HR questions. CRM scenario was a flight where there was vibration in the engine, included and engine shutdown and diversion. Technical questions included Jepp chart knowledge (airport page, approach plates, SID). Weather included metar and TAF with a question on alternates (standard 1,2,3 rule.) Prog charts including warm and cold fronts. Aerodynamics - dutch roll, coffin corner, critical mach, mack tuck,... -

Super relaxed interview with a newer FO. He did his best to put me at ease by talking about how he's just here to see why I'd be a good fit for SkyWest. Started off with introducing himself and then let me do the same. We went right into HR questions about checkride failures, previous employment, education, and current flying. Then went into a CRM scenario, (view the study guide of this website). After this came the technical portion. We then decoded a METAR. After that we went...
