The interview was about 2 1/2 hours in total. The interviewing pilot was a young FO and conducted all of the interview questions. Generally speaking none of the questions deviated from what I had seen so on AviationInterviews.com Key notes from the technical section: Know 91.175 It was a series of questions. Interviewer had me brief altitudes along STAR and also SIDs for Atlanta. Systems questions were high bypass engine and bleed air heavy. I was asked “I’m a molecule of air, make me go through the engine and out the back.” Know some items bleed air from the engine services. Have an understanding of engine malfunctions, I was asked about compressor stalls, hang starts and hot starts and how I thought I should respond to...

The interview was exactly what you'd expect based on other experiences on here. Started off with just some small talk before the interviewer introduced himself and talked about his history and how he ended up doing interviews. The interviewer was a retired captain from Skywest. I introduced myself, then we got rolling with verifying paperwork. I needed to resubmit some things, like my CFI, since it expired between now and the original application date in January. We talked about my logbook,... -

Interview was really relaxed. Interviewer called me the night before and changed our time. I was flexible and moved things around. Turbine engine theory, Mach tuck, pros and cons of a swept back wing, high altitude aerodynamics, coffin corner, Dutch roll. Went over a Jepp ILS plate. Visibility vs RVR, all the symbols, didnâ??t get asked anything on the 10-9 diagram. (view the study guide of this website). Read a TAF then explained exemption 17347. Scenario was a medical emergency on board... -

Interview was a little less than 2 hours with an FO at the company. He does a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable and relaxed. Started with updated times, HR questions like about yourself, checkride fails, why Skywest, biggest challenge you anticipate going into training, accomplishment you're proud of, what are the guiding principles of Skywest. Then it moved onto technical, like weather questions, thunderstorms, microbursts, decode metar/taf, based on eta on the taf do we need... -

The interview was very quick and easy, as I felt I over prepared. Started with going over my totals and reviewing my documents. After we went through hr questions which took about 15 mins. From there interviewer gave me a choice of crm or technical. I chose crm and he gave me a scenario of and engine out 200 miles from my destination. My destination was 100 feet above mins and my alternate was vrf. Next we covered technical which was super brief, everything that was on the app. overall easy... -

Went straight into Critical Mach and Mach Tuck after HR questions. Then explain how a Jet engine works, then focus on Bypass, Bleed Air and electrical systems on jets. I have NO jet experience. He did not ask about the electrical or hydraulics of the multi engine piston that I was flying. CRM scenario was next. After that we reviewed a Taxi diagram of a jepp chart, followed by briefing a sid and a star. This lead into debriefing a TAF then METAR. Followed by scenario, (view the study guide... -

Started off with HR questions about flight time totals, then did introductions and went straight into the technical with a scenario that we were going to be using for the whole interview. I was captain flying. Went over NWKRAFT, and specifically the weather section with a basic METAR and TAF, but on the TAF, he was looking to identify that a cold front was coming in, which would bring a wind shift. Talked about my specific airplane engine and constant speed prop. And the electrical system... -

The interview was very close to the other experiences on this page. The interviewer was a retired captain, really nice guy that made the experience very light and comfortable. Overall, the interview was very technical with a couple HR questions, (view the study guide of this website). The technical topics were fairly basic: high altitude aerodynamics, jet engines and systems (emergency scenario- bleed air fail in cruise), threat and error management, CRM, Jepp plates - OPs Spec and... -

My interview was very similar to what others posted. Started with introductions, then went into my flight times (have your 30, 60, 90, 6 month, and 12 month hours already totaled). HR portion was pretty straight forward (why SkyWest, what challenges do you foresee for yourself in training, etc). Technical portion covered a lot of topics, but each subject was only briefly touched on and then we moved on the next. CRM scenario was an engine fire while on departure, and I was hand flying the...
