  • The interview was exactly what you'd expect based on other experiences on here. Started off with just some small talk before the interviewer introduced himself and talked about his history and how he ended up doing interviews. The interviewer was a retired captain from Skywest. I introduced myself, then we got rolling with verifying paperwork. I needed to resubmit some things, like my CFI, since it expired between now and the original application date in January. We talked about my logbook, total time, PIC, multi-engine, night, instrument while in the actual airplane, 30/60/90 day, and 12-month flight times. Actual order after this was different, I'm just jotting down things I remember going over. Coffin corner, mach tuck, swept wing advantages and disadvantages, where does a swept wing stall at, how do we maintain roll...

Interview was very laid back and straight forward. Started with HR questions. Was very procedural like "We just need to ask these then we move on" From there, went into tell me about a time a flight went bad, followed by what are these airport signs. The signs were just a slide show that he flipped through. After that we touched on SFO airport diagram, briefed an approach and looked at a STAR with a few questions about how you would fly it. Went into scenario and that was it. No real...

My interview was with a 3 year captain. He was truly a nice guy but I was nervous the entire time and forgot most of what I studied.  We started out with introductions (told me how he got into aviation, about his family etc and I did the same), be prepared to talk about any accidents/ checkride failures. Have your hours ready to go TT, Instrument time, Night hours, Multi time, PIC time, 30,60,90,120,12months. After we discussed all of that, we dove right in. We spoke about swept wings,...

The interview was with a First Officer. He was a nice man, walked me through the process, was very straightforward with what the process generally is. Talked about background, Hours (30/60/90 and 365), ensured I met all ATP minimums, checkride failures, and notice period duration if offered CJO with the current company. I was very curious about my answers for preference in base and preference in aircraft. I was answering safe, but he wanted a straightforward answer. Started with HR, then Wx...

Very similar to other experiences I've read on here. My interview was just done with a 3-year E175 FO out of Boise, and he's been with the recruiting department for about a year and a half. Started by saying his interviews tend to run 2+ hours, that he was trying to shorten them, but that we should be prepared for it to take up the whole block we had scheduled. Started with admin stuff; 30/60/90 times and total time in the last 12 months. He asked a few HR questions, mainly about my flight...

The interview was fairly straightforward. ERJ F/O said he was the number 3 bidding F/O at LAX. Standard HR but no TMAAT questions. Metar/Taf asked me questions, (view the study guide of this website).  For my system, he asked me about the fuel system for a C172. High altitude aerodynamics was all the normal stuff. Had me brief a STAR and an approach into MSP. For the CRM scenario pax was in a physical conflict in the back, and he wanted to hear about 2in/2out. Transfer flight controls...

Started off with an introduction, Started off with paperwork. Passport, FCC license, certs and medical. Went into check ride failures, accidents/incidents. Told him nothing shows up however I did have to put a plane on the freeway a couple years back. Broke down what happened and what I did. Told him the FAA was notified about the situation. This got me out of my tell me about a time later on in the interview. Went into the technical side of the interview. Showed me a METAR asked what it...

Interviewed by 2 year FO, made it really laid back and super sweet which helped. Started with a couple book keeping questions followed by HR questions. After jumped right into the technical portion which was structured from blocks off to blocks on and talked through every stage of flight. Started with METARs, Asked a lot of jepp questions, airport signage, talked through turbine engines followed by reading Sids and stars. While reading charts, they asked questions. After went to briefed the...

Current FO interviewed me. Started with a brief introduction then went into TMAAT. After that went into Jep plates where I briefed an approach what criteria there would have to be to land, then a taxi diagram info, what approach lighting was at the airport from the approach plate. Then we went into aerodynamics, then CRM. Went really well, and received a CJO the next day. Took a little less than a hour and a...

I had a very short 35 minute interview and had gotten some questions wrong which I thought were pretty important wrong. Based on the super short call I thought it wasnâ??t gonna be a good outcome. Interviewer was very nice, polite, calmed my nerves but at the same time direct and to the point wasnâ??t wasting much time with conversation. In my interview the topics covered were fairly broad but not extremely deep in any one area. Then HR questions, (view the study guide of this website)....

Interview guy was very friendly, told me about himself and we shared some jokes, turns out we lived in the same city as well. Really helpful with calming my nerves instantly. (Everything mentioned is in order) Told me about himself, for 8min, then asked me about myself while he followed along with my resume. Then documents. went through my logbook, total times, pic, xc, etc etc etc. recency of my hours. Started with HR, tell me about your CFI checkride (my checkride failure, I had 1...
