  • The interview was exactly what you'd expect based on other experiences on here. Started off with just some small talk before the interviewer introduced himself and talked about his history and how he ended up doing interviews. The interviewer was a retired captain from Skywest. I introduced myself, then we got rolling with verifying paperwork. I needed to resubmit some things, like my CFI, since it expired between now and the original application date in January. We talked about my logbook, total time, PIC, multi-engine, night, instrument while in the actual airplane, 30/60/90 day, and 12-month flight times. Actual order after this was different, I'm just jotting down things I remember going over. Coffin corner, mach tuck, swept wing advantages and disadvantages, where does a swept wing stall at, how do we maintain roll...

I logged in about 30 minutes before my scheduled interview and was pleasantly surprised when the interviewer joined about 20 minutes early. We started shortly after. My interviewer was a very professional pilot with around 10 years of experience at the company, which made the conversation both insightful and comfortable. We began with a few HR questions.  After that, we transitioned into the technical portion. (Highly recommend reviewing the study guideâ??it was extremely helpful.)...

Interview was very straight forward. Basically was a walk through of everything related to conducting a part 121 flight. All technical questions were brief and pretty easy. If you study all the topics, chances are you will be over prepared. Only advice I have is spend a lot of time being familiar with Jepp charts. Interview was about 1:45...

Had my SkyWest interview today and honestly it was way more chill than I hyped it up to be. Interview was scheduled for 2.5 hours but we wrapped in about 1 hr 10 min. My interviewer was a 3rd year ERJ FO. We started with intros, then went into recency requirements (30/60/90/365), and other questions, (view the study guide of this website).  From there: Weather: read a METAR and TAF and questions.  Talked about Charts: Jepp plate questions.  System questions. I studied pretty...

It was a comprehensive interview, so it is important to study well and review all relevant topics. Beyond the usual introduction and â??tell me about yourself,â? expect questions on core aviation subjects. You should be well prepared in weather, aircraft systems, and aerodynamics. The AviationInterviews website prepares you very well for the...

Interview went very smooth was Lot like whatâ??s on the site. Starts with ice breakers, asking me what I was doing to get hours, We went into hours and why SkyWest. We then went into high altitude aerodynamics, how a jet engine works, and what does bleed air for. Then went into meters and tafs nothing crazy with that. Went into Jepp charts (SID, Approach plate, and airport diagram.) CRM Scenario I was caption and had an auto pilot failure, what would I do who would I contact and would I...

The interview began with introductions with a First Officer with about two years at SkyWest being considered for upgrade to Captain. It quickly transitioned into technical questions.  (view the study guide of this website, including the Sim/Scenario section).  I was asked to interpret a METAR and TAF (first couple of lines), including whether an alternate would be required. From there, we discussed weather concepts. The next section covered airport markings. This then led into...

Friendly interview with a Denver based CRJ FO. Brief introductions, 30/60/90/365 Flight time (Mine was 40/65/96/1100), a couple simple TMAAT questions then into technical. TAF/Alternate requirements, some basic thunderstom/wx discussion. Looked at Jepp charts (1 star, 1 sid, 1 ILS, Airport diagram). Didn't have me brief the plates but had me talk through how I'd fly the departure/arrival and asked a few questions about mins and symbols on the other charts. Aircraft systems, nothing too in...

Interview begins with a basic barckground on you, your hours, and the mandatory HR questions about criminal/work/training history before going into technical questions. (view the study guide of this website, including the Sim/Scenario section). Read this METAR/TAF and questions.   Airport diagrams I was also asked about departure and approach minimums and if there are exceptions. Then CRM question....

Interview was a little different than what is gouged. My HR portion was very in-depth. Be sure to know your total times. The technical cover high altitude aerodynamics, turbine engines, METARs/TAF (be sure you know how to apply this to real life), CRM scenario. They will ask why SkyWest. Be sure to know who your recruiter is and who did your interview prep session if your a cadet. I missed 2 questions on the interview, but corrected myself and they seemed to like that. Personality is...

Overall, it was as expected. Was with a ERJ FO out of SLC. Started out with him telling me about himself briefly, then asked me to talk about my story. Then he asked my total time, PIC, Night, Instrument, and ME times, as well as my 30/60/90/365 day totals. Have those totaled and ready to go for interview, no decimals, round down to nearest whole number. Then was asked "Why SkyWest?", then asked me 2-3 TMATW questions. Was asked a few questions about thunderstorms. Then had to decode a METAR...
