  • The interview was exactly what you'd expect based on other experiences on here. Started off with just some small talk before the interviewer introduced himself and talked about his history and how he ended up doing interviews. The interviewer was a retired captain from Skywest. I introduced myself, then we got rolling with verifying paperwork. I needed to resubmit some things, like my CFI, since it expired between now and the original application date in January. We talked about my logbook, total time, PIC, multi-engine, night, instrument while in the actual airplane, 30/60/90 day, and 12-month flight times. Actual order after this was different, I'm just jotting down things I remember going over. Coffin corner, mach tuck, swept wing advantages and disadvantages, where does a swept wing stall at, how do we maintain roll...

The interview was very straightforward. It was just two pilots having a conversation about their day. It started off with the 30/60/90/365 hours and some small talk, which led into behavioral-type questions. After the behavioral questions, we went into the interview itself. We started our day KOAK and were flying to Seattle. We basically went from the hotel lobby all the way to landing in Seattle. We went through some CRM Questions as well as a variety of technical questions....

The interview was an hour long and was everything that AviationInterviews stated it would be. CRM, technical, and behavioral questions. It started with the 30/60/90/365 hour review. It was just a conversation with two pilots, very relaxed setting. It was with a FO who had been there for a year. The technical questions were basic. Make sure to be familiar with Jeppesen charts they were covered quite a...

Interviewer was friendly, professional, and helpful with any questions I had. We focused on aircraft systems (the plane you fly and general jet system questions), (view the study guide of this website). Jeppesen questions included briefing an ILS, answering questions about a SID/STAR, and a few questions on an airport diagram. Basic meteorology came up for a few minutes as well as TAF/METAR (looking at this TAF, do we need an alternate?). Finished with a pretty basic CRM scenario. For the...

We started off with a brief introduction and went over flight times. Next we covered basic HR questions followed by more personal HR questions such as TMAAT, strengths/weaknesses, etc. After that we went directly into the technical questions going over approach plates, SIDs, arrivals. Covered Metars, TAFs and alternate weather criteria to include exemption 17347. This was followed by high altitude aerodynamics and how a jet engine works as well as start malfunctions. Finally, we went over...

My interview was with 20yr Base chief captain. He introduced himself, and we started rapid Heavy HR questions without formal Tell me about yourself. 10-15 questions, then checked total hours, CRM then technical. My technical portions were interesting, no Jet system no 121 rules. Pretty much went through systems in my current aircraft (C172) and aerodynamics in both Cessna and swept wing. details in 91 regs. could've done better as CFI. Took 2 hours total and ended up with me asking...

My interview experience was very positive overall. Interviewer was fair, patient, knowledgable, and very friendly. We began with introductions, then discussed aircraft systems for around 10 minutes. I was asked system questions for the aircraft I currently fly as well as some general jet systems. We then moved on to high altitude aerodynamics. for around 10 minutes as well, (view the study guide of thi website)  Next was basic meteorology (METARs, TAFS, thunderstorm questions based...

Started off with the interviewer telling me his story and his background with the company. We then went into the TMAAT questions, there was two of them. Next we covered high altitude aerodynamics, mach tuck, critmach, dutch roll, coffin corner, ect. Then moved on to airplane systems and jet engines. Spent a good amount of time talking about emergencies. Finally we covered a TAF and METAR, then applied those to our Jepp charts and used those to create our situation. Overall had a great...

The interview was a positive experience. It felt nice to be over prepared and have an idea of what to expect thanks to AviationInterviews. SkyWest was not trying to trick you but it was more of a conversation about your logbook, flying experience and some technical questions. My experience left me excited to learn more about the company and the planes they fly. Follow the guidelines here and you will have no problem walking away feeling good about your answers and that you gave yourself the...
