The interview was exactly what you'd expect based on other experiences on here. Started off with just some small talk before the interviewer introduced himself and talked about his history and how he ended up doing interviews. The interviewer was a retired captain from Skywest. I introduced myself, then we got rolling with verifying paperwork. I needed to resubmit some things, like my CFI, since it expired between now and the original application date in January. We talked about my logbook, total time, PIC, multi-engine, night, instrument while in the actual airplane, 30/60/90 day, and 12-month flight times. Actual order after this was different, I'm just jotting down things I remember going over. Coffin corner, mach tuck, swept wing advantages and disadvantages, where does a swept wing stall at, how do we maintain roll...

The interview started with intro about me and him then we went into some HR questions about why I wanted to work for Skywest, the guiding principles and what I would bring to the company. Then we moved on to the CRM Scenario and debriefed that quickly before moving on to the technical portion which we kind of went through a flight from start to finish starting with weather moving through STARs some holding questions with speeds then back to the airport with an Approach briefing and some taxi... -

The interviewer was very nice. He did a great job settling my nerves. The process began with a straightforward document review covering ATP minimums and my 30, 60, 90, and 360-day flight times. He shared his background, then asked about mine. We then moved into â??Why SkyWest?â? and a few standard HR/TMAAT questions. From there, we went through the seven technical subject areas. First, we reviewed various runway signs and their meanings. Then we covered hershey bar vs. swept wing, Mach... -

It was a short interview, about 1.5 hours. We covered a lot of symbology for METAR, TAF, airport diagram and approach plates. Also, multiple question for high altitude operations. Turbine questions about high pass, bleed air, etc. Only 1 question CRM about a pregnant woman on board giving birth. Thatâ??s all. Make sure to study all the topics they sent you before the interview because they will ask about... -

Began with introductions. He legit took 7 minutes telling me about himself, which was longer than I planned on spending. I tried to follow the same format he did (where he was from, high school, interests, flying experience, etc). We both play hockey and talked about that for a minute. He then laid out the overview for the entire interview, saying it would take about 2.5 hours. We talked about my logbook times and he wanted, TT, XC, Night, PIC, Instrument (sim+actual), multi, and turbine. He... -

Met with a captain on teams and had another pilot â??auditingâ? the interview. Started by walking through my total hours and PRD questions. Went straight into technical starting with reading METAR and TAF and then moved onto other weather questions. Went into reading Jepp charts, jet engine, and high altitude aerodynamics. CRM scenario was me being captain, after takeoff in the middle of cleaning up flaps my FO passed out and ATC had just cleared me for higher altitude. Both pilots were... -

I interviewed with a Captain that has been with the company 27 years. Very nice and friendly guy. The entire interview was conversational and scenario based. A couple questions regarding why I got into aviation and why I was interested in SkyWest. Was asked about the hydraulic system of a jet, hot/hung starts, swept wings. If you go off the study guide youâ??ll be fine. The interview took right at 2 hours from start to finish. I signed the contract, so about 8 month wait for the interview.... -

The interview was fairly casual as far as the interviewer and structure. I was honestly surprised he didn't ask more technical questions. He did most of the talking and briefed me on how the scenario would be handled before we began that section. It felt more of a "teaching" interview than questions. The basics; swept wing, mach tuck, coffin corner questions were asked. He wanted turbulence included in things that could affect the coffin corner but the rest was straight forward. Basic IFR... -

Interview was conducted with a young FO. Started out with flight time. I came prepared with all totals in respect to ATP mins. Also had 30, 60, 90 day and last 12 months. Jumped into basic HR questions. No real surprises. Technical portion included METAR & TAF, basic jet aerodynamics, jet engine, jep charts, alternate minimums, etc. study the gouge and youâ??ll crush the technical portion. I was asked systems on my current airplane. Definitely review your stuff before going in. My... -

My interviewer was a current Captain who is part of the training department. The interview was very relaxed and covered basic knowledge with no surprises. Both had introductions, asked about recent flight time, aircraft preference, wx, IFR knowledge, approach plate brief, systems, swept wing and turbine theory, CRM scenario, and final... -

The interview started with him introducing himself and his long journey in Skywest. He didnâ??t ask me any TMAAT questions, just to tell him about myself and how I got in to aviation. After that we did logbook review and documentation, also asked me for the flight time in the last 30, 60, 90 days, 6 and 12 months, also some more HR questions for example if I signed the contract, DUIs, checkride failures, etc. Once we were done with that he asked me why Skywest. After that he asked technical...
