The interview was exactly what you'd expect based on other experiences on here. Started off with just some small talk before the interviewer introduced himself and talked about his history and how he ended up doing interviews. The interviewer was a retired captain from Skywest. I introduced myself, then we got rolling with verifying paperwork. I needed to resubmit some things, like my CFI, since it expired between now and the original application date in January. We talked about my logbook, total time, PIC, multi-engine, night, instrument while in the actual airplane, 30/60/90 day, and 12-month flight times. Actual order after this was different, I'm just jotting down things I remember going over. Coffin corner, mach tuck, swept wing advantages and disadvantages, where does a swept wing stall at, how do we maintain roll...

Total interview was 2 hours long. Started with standard logbook review and HR questions. Tell me about yourself, etc. Never asked a TMAAT question. Went into technical questions which were rapid fire. FAR questions such as Departure alternate required and why. Exemption 3585. Aerodynamic questions of Mach, MMO, why Mach buffet occurs. V speeds. Basic weather, TS and pressure systems and what to expect with various pressure systems. Various deice and anti-ice fluids. Systems questions.... -

The interview was pretty straightforward, it lasted for about two hours, 30 minutes of that was check-in and HR and then another 20 minutes at the end just talking so it was about an hour and a half for the actual interview portion. My interviewer was a three year FO and it was very nice and approachable. We started off with TMAAT questions and then promptly moved into aerodynamics and systems. Started with coffin corner, Mach tuck, swept-wing aerodynamics, critical Mach, Dutch roll and span... -

Started off with introductions, went over interviewer's background to SkyWest. Talked about my aviation history and experience, overall very very conversational and less question & answer. Swept wing, mach tuck, coffin corner. Briefing a mitigation strategy, CRM principles, types of threats to the flight. A/C performance, turbines, hot start, bleed air, hydraulic system and electrical systems on a basic transport category aircraft level. Closed with basic CRM scenario, METAR and TAF.... -

Interview started with confirming flight times and other HR interview questions. After that, I was asked to read an ATIS and a TAF. Then, we went into Part 91 IFR regulations. The regs started off pretty easy but then got pretty obscure. (view the study guide of this website). For instance, I was asked to brief a Jepps approach plate and read back a clearance. I was asked about the stages of a Turbofan. I did well until he wanted to know about the individual components within the... -

Overall it was a very laid back interview process. The total time was about 1.5 hours with time at the end for questions. Only interviewed with a FO. He shared his background and then I did mine. Asked why SkyWest. I mentioned the bases were more to my liking and the pilots had a good reputation when moving to the majors. Had 2 or 3 HR questions like a difficult student, safe decision and something else. Moved into CRM scenarios, 1 I was captain with a passenger possible emergency and... -

My interview was very relaxed, it was 1 on 1 with an FO for a little over an hour. We started with the â??house keepingâ? questions (hours, willing to work reserve or on holidays etc.) then he asked me 5 or 6 HR questions, all of which I had found on this site. Then we did the technical section and finished with a scenario. The technical questions were simple, again almost all of which I had seen on here. He questioned me about a jeppessen 10-9, 10-9A, SID, STAR, and approach... -

Did the interview with San Diego based reserve FO, and San Diego based captain watching the interview. Very chill, and tried to help me relax and guided me through the interview with hints when I was struggling. If you use Study guide well, it will prepare you very well. Make sure to Review Jepesen chart how to read(airport diagram symbols, Approach chart, STAR and 10-9), METAR and TAF decode, 2 in 2 out for scenario based questions. Below is the overall questions and flow. Introduction time... -

The interviewer was very friendly, they started by introducing themselves before they asked me to introduce myself, and then we went through paperwork - flight hours, document updates, date available, aircraft preference, etc. (view the study guide of this website). We covered Check Ride failures, PRIA items if needed, "why SkyWest", then went straight into CRM scenarios. I was also asked what I've struggled with throughout my career and what I've learned. The technical section... -

Virtual interview with an older/experienced FO who's about to retire. Automatically eased the whole experience once he informed me this was just going to be a conversation getting to know each other. First 20min talked about our personal lives/hobbies. Dove into technical questions which were very straightforward, what is this/what is that/what does this mean (turbine engines/bleed air/lead vs NiCad battery/AC vs DC/swept wings/my aircraft's electrical system). Weather was reading a TAF and...
