The interview was exactly what you'd expect based on other experiences on here. Started off with just some small talk before the interviewer introduced himself and talked about his history and how he ended up doing interviews. The interviewer was a retired captain from Skywest. I introduced myself, then we got rolling with verifying paperwork. I needed to resubmit some things, like my CFI, since it expired between now and the original application date in January. We talked about my logbook, total time, PIC, multi-engine, night, instrument while in the actual airplane, 30/60/90 day, and 12-month flight times. Actual order after this was different, I'm just jotting down things I remember going over. Coffin corner, mach tuck, swept wing advantages and disadvantages, where does a swept wing stall at, how do we maintain roll...

Interview lasted for just under 2.5 hours. Interviewed with a retired Capt who was conversational and wanted to ease the nerves from the start. Almost entirely technical with very minimal HR discussion. Study the guide and you'll feel pretty... -

My interview was absolutely actually really fun. The interviewer was really engaging and sincerely interested in finding out who you are. Be your best self, be real, have interest outside of flying. Dressing up in a nice suit gives a professional appearance as you will be the face of the company when your on the line. Be professional, prompt and honest, even when you had failures or fell short on something. Remembering how you learned from that experience and incorporate that into your... -

Started with introductions. HR questions followed, Why SkyWest? What do you know about SkyWest? We then got right into TMAATW questions. Followed into weather and alternate planning. Reading Metars and TAFs that were not all too difficult. From there we went straight into airspaces, briefing STARs and Approach plates. Airport diagram and different types of ALSs. Technical questions involved high altitude aerodynamics and turbine theory and how FADEC works for the jet. From there we dove into... -

Interview was as described by others. No gotcha questions. Study guide, basic IFR knowledge, and TMAAT. 2 hours in total from start to finish. Started off with HR questions and told our stories about how we ended up in aviation. Asked about checkride failures and to explain what happened. Then moved forward to technical portion and started with Jepp charts. Alternate requirements, brief an approach, SIDs, STARs, holding speeds, and a CRM scenario at the very... -

The Interview started promptly at 10am. We Began with quick how are you followed by intros. I modeled my intro after the one he gave me. Be personable but highlight your successes. We then went into logbook review. Have your ATP required times totaled before hand. Total, total PIC, Inst, XC, night, multi. Then went into the 30/60/90/6m/12m currency. Again total this prior to the interview to show your prepared. Then went into HR questions. Be honest and make sure to say what your experiences... -

SID, High altitude aerodynamics then Why SkyWest/ aircraft/ company values/ base and to finish up CONVICTIONS / Disclose / everything is true. The Interiew was too professional for my opinion. I read most of the other applicant's experiences and mine was not similar to them. My interviewer was a young First Officer that didn't show emotion during the interview. We started with past experiences and logbook review. After we jump into taxiway signs and different types of runways. Then I was asked about Mach Crit and Mach Tuck. Later we doved into CRM questions plus weather which was just reading a Metar and a TAF, plus Thunderstorms.... -

BLUF: Yes, if you read through and can answer all the questions on this site, you'll be prepared. The HR (behavioral/TMAAT) and CRM scenario portions are short and a majority of the interview is technical. My interview was just over 2hrs long. Intro: Interview was one-on-one with a current 2.5yr SkyWest FO. He outlined everything we would be talking about to include HR (behavioral TMAAT questions), technical, CRM, final Yes/No questions, and then time for any questions I had for him. Started...
