Hotel Comments: addendum to last comment: "The Millinium Club" is a laundry room, w/the washer & dryer removed. It has an ice machine, & 2 vending machines, one of which was broken. And one little microwave. some "Club." also, apparently, Sasquatch was is my room last, because hairs were all in the bathtub, at least 20, & on the bathroom tiles. ick.

Dining Comments: meh

Entertainment Comments: I'm sure there are a ton of things to do.

Hotel Comments: This place is nice to look at, but it's the little things that start to annoy. It is the end of Dec. & no heat. I am freezing in here. Turned the heat on, & cold air blew. When I called to ask about it, I was told that the heat hadn't been turned on "yet." WTH! Also, this place is huge, & there are 2 ice machines, 23 floors apart. I couldn't connect to the WIRED internet, & my phone wouldn't work, so I trudged down to the front desk. The clerk told me she hadn't entered it, cuz she didn't know how to spell my name. (that was printed.) And, the TV gets a whopping 12 channels! Absolutely NO cable stations, it's all local, oh, except for the Cartoon Network.

Dining Comments: I don't know.

Entertainment Comments: Enjoy those 12 channels.

Hotel Comments: Ok hotel. gGym is unusual. Old, but working equipment. Located in the middle of the ground floor of the south tower. Has cardio and decent selection of old machines. No wireless. Good location. So so bed and pillows. North tower rooms are old and run down.

Hotel Comments: Great location though noisy. Lots of dining options just get off your b$tt and walk around.

Dining Comments: St Louis Bread Co a couple of blocks away. Walk to the right down Broadway, left on Chestnut, right on 6th Street. Hardees and Fridays are on this corner. Free WiFi at SBC. Also the city has free wifi so if you sit by your hotel window you should be able to get access ATTWIFI is the ssid.

Entertainment Comments: Concerts by the arch during the summer that are free.
June 27, 2009
Hotel Comments: If you want FREE internet, Go outside the Hotel one block over. The City has Free WiFi.

Dining Comments: Highly recommend, CALECO's 101 N. Broadway 314-421-0708 2 Blocks over from Hotel

Hotel Comments: Used to like this hotel but no more. Asked about the computer in the business center & was told that OUR company said NO MORE free internet for us. My F/O was told the same thing 2 weeks ago.

Dining Comments: Didn't go out this time but have eaten at Martini's & also in the other restaurant in the hotel. Pricey but convenient.

Entertainment Comments: Gamble, go up in the arch, walk around.
July 5, 2008
Hotel Comments: No free internet, but my laptop picked up the wifi signal all the way from the 2nd highest floor of the hotel. That internet is free. (they used to hand out 15 minute free cards but have since stopped.

Dining Comments: TGIF hooters, couple others...or hotdogs at the ball game.

Entertainment Comments: See game, walk around.

Hotel Comments: The hotel is very nice overall. The internet is NOT free, you must pay $9.95 for access in rooms and pay for it as well in the business center. The place does have a small gym and a small indoor pool, nothing special. The hotel has 2 restaurants, one is a small bistro and the other a fancy one that has a 360-degree view of STL from top of the hotel. It's very expensive. The service in the bistro is marginal, very slow and not friendly.

Dining Comments: Tons of places if you're willing to walk a little. The hotel restaurants are very expensive.

Entertainment Comments: Located downtown right across the Gateway Arch and Busch Field (Cardinals baseball). Only thing is that it's a 25 minute ride to the airport. If you have time to kill, go over to the River Casino, which is like a 5 minute van ride from the hotel. The casino van will pick you up right in front of the hotel, just get the bellman from the hotel to call the casino and they'll send a van right over to you, 24-hours a day. The casino is nothing like Las Vegas or Atlantic City but it's not too bad if you have a long overnight, it's worth the trip.

Hotel Comments: I start the rating at 5, then I add and subtract points for each good or bad comment. This hotel gets a 7. +++ Excellent location! + Pool. - The internet is not free. - No free breakfast.

Dining Comments: Go right out of the hotel (downstream direction), go a few blocks, then turn left and go a few blocks. There is a plaza area with numerous restaurants including TGIFridays, Hooters, Panera Bread, and Calico's. Calico's is good.

Entertainment Comments: You can go to the top of the St. Louis Arch for $10. Worth it to do once. Get there early so you won't have to wait in line. The museum of westward expansion is beneath the arch and that is free. Busch Field is one block in the other direction if there is a Cardinals game going on. A casino on the river.

Hotel Comments: Good overnight, and not a bad hotel, but I've been there twice in the last two weeks and have had trouble. Internet is no longer free in the rooms, and as mentioned, using hotel computer costs money. We had trouble with the shuttle from the airport to the hotel both times. Could be our new hotel service.

Dining Comments: Don't eat in the hotel. It's expensive and it put my FO in the hospital with food poisoning.

Entertainment Comments: Plenty to do in the area. Hotel is next to the baseball field, so if the Cardinals are playing at home, check out a game.

Hotel Comments: Hotel is nice, but if you don't have your own laptop bring your Visa card. Business center costs $3 for 15mins. WiFi is free in the lobby but didn't work on my PDA. Walked a few blocks to the Adams Mark Hotel and used their free wifi in the lobby, which was very fast.

Dining Comments: Charlie Gitto's is a great Mom N Pop italian joint. Very good food. Dinners are $10 to $16 and are generous portions. Turn right out of the hotel, going north on 4th street for 4 blocks to Pine street. Make a left and go 2 blocks to 6th street. It's across the street on 6th. For breakfast you can't beat Chile Mac's. It's a "Mel's Diner" type of place. Old fashioned pancakes on the griddle. Very good and very cheap. Pancakes are under $3 for a short stack. This diner is on Pine St. bewteen 5th and 6th. You walk past it to get to Charlie Gitto's.

Entertainment Comments: Same as the other post. Lots to do downtown.

Hotel Comments: One of the best hotels in the system. Located downtown and wedged between Gateway Arch and Busch Field. Only downside is the 25 minute ride to KSTL.

Dining Comments: Lots

Entertainment Comments: Go to river casino, catch a Cards game, or hang out downtown. Plenty of shopping, food, etc......
